A: A patient-led organisation created by disabled entrepreneur and activist Rocio Castillero in 2020. Incurably Wonderful works with private and public organisations to provide education, create awareness of disability rights and issues, and improve accessibility and inclusivity for disabled and chronically ill people.

 A: Everything here is shaped by genuine lived experience of chronic illness and disability — not just theory or compliance checklists. The approach is practical, relational, and rooted in disability justice. 

 A: Incurably Wonderful originally operated as a Community Interest Company (CIC). In 2026 it transitioned to a freelance consultancy model to offer more direct and flexible support. 

A: Disability awareness training, EDI strategy, access audits, inclusive policy design, lived experience panels, speaking engagements, and co-production support. 

A: NHS trusts, local authorities, social enterprises, charities, arts organisations, corporations — any organisation whose work touches disabled or chronically ill people.

A: Primarily UK-wide. Remote and online work is always available and preferred where possible, making services more accessible. 

A: Yes — after an initial conversation, a written proposal and pricing can be provided based on your specific needs.  

A: It goes beyond ramps and hearing loops. True inclusion means changing culture, communication, policies, and attitudes so that disabled people can fully participate, lead, and thrive. 

A: Many disability strategies overlook people who are too ill to leave their homes. Housebound-centred inclusion ensures these individuals are not invisible in policy or service design. 

A: The Social Model says it is society's barriers — not people's conditions — that disable people. This underpins all of the work at Incurably Wonderful. 

A: Yes — and this informs how the consultancy operates. Flexible timings, written communication options, and adapted formats are always available. 

A: Absolutely. Online delivery, written materials, audio descriptions, easy-read formats, and pacing to suit energy fluctuations can all be accommodated.
